[Download] Rin Tin Tiger, Perfect Harmony

[Sounds like: Bob Dylan, Fences, Violent Femmes]

I cannot decide what I love most about San Francisco. All the vegetarian food options, my cut new calves from all this hill walking, or the incredible music spilling out of every corner. Capturing my ears' attention right now is Rin Tin Tiger. Composed of Kevin Sullivan on vocals/guitar/harmonica, Sean Sullivan on bass/ vocals and Andrew Skewes-Cox on drums/vocals, I suggest an immediate listen. This alternative/folk trio from San Francisco has everything a good band should: upbeat songs to blast, calmer songs with mesmerizing harmonica, and lyrics that are poetry in it of themselves. One of the things I enjoy most about them is the incredible harmony these guys have. Usually, a great harmony comes from a male/female duet, I haven’t found as many boy trio’s outside of 90’s boy bands that work so calmly and cohesively. If you are at all like me, you would avoid working on midterms and enjoy Rin Tin Tiger immediately instead.

Their latest album Toxic Pocketbook was recorded live at Tiny Telephone Studios and released July 24, 2012.
