[Watch] Sunday Lane Takes On Bon Iver

[Sounds like: Emile Millar, Amy Stroup, Jess Dunbar]

It's a song we've heard covered by countless artists since its original debut with Bon Iver. It's by no mistake, either, as "Skinny Love" is a beautifully crafted song. The thousands of covers scoured across the internet, however, make it hard to appreciate any other take on the hit single other than it's original form. We love Birdy's attempt and we're mesmerized by Jess Dunbar's smokey twist, but the rest have always fallen short. Call us snobs or spoiled ears, but the song is old news.

When I was told Sunday Lane would be tackling Skinny Love after her recently debuted album, From Where You Are, I smirked and promptly sighed out of disappointment. Sunday has been a friend of ours for a while now and we think she has the potential to go really REALLY far....and we still do. Bam, just like that, we're back on the love train and adding Sunday's cover to our list of favorites. With help from fellow band member, Max Helmerich, Sunday keeps the raw sound of the original in tact, yet seems to add a ghostly, campfire atmosphere. We received the visuals for the song last night, and we couldn't resist sharing them with you. Hit the jump to watch...
