[Read & Download] 5 Songs We Normally Wouldn't Feature

[Sounds like: a bunch of mainstream stuff we normally wouldn't feature]

Tommy and I have made it our goal for the summer to start publishing more and more features. Not just spotlights on artists, but quirky little tidbits full of bad writing and good music. We've tried a few already and they've been received with open arms, so we're gonna keep them coming...

Over the past few months, Beat Dropping has become dedicated to promoting the acoustic, indie, and folk scenes and has largely left the hip-hop and electronic game in our wake. That's not to discredit them, we've just found our niche and we're running with it. That being said, I figured it was time to revisit those that we normally wouldn't feature now. After all it's summertime, everyone just needs to live a little. Hit the jump below to read short and stupid descriptions, and download five tracks we normally wouldn't feature...

You're A Fool (feat. G. Love) - Cisco Adler

Cisco Adler, the hip-hop/reggae/pop/long-hair-don't-care dude, released You're a Fool today and to our pleasant surprise, Mr. Funk, G. Love, is featured.

Fuck With Mo' Money - The Hood Internet

Whoa. A mashup on Beat Dropping. It features Biggie, so it really shouldn't come as a surprise.

Is That You God? - Goodie Mob

Sketchy picture for a sketchy group. I do like that Cee-Lo was part of a group called Goodie Mob, though. It just seems right. I bet he's wearing red leather, holding that cat, and sporting a wig in this one.

Tarzan and Rain - The Reborn Identity

I could actually see Tommy or myself featuring this one, but figured it was edgy enough to include. Adele meet Tarzan. Tarzan, meet Adele.

Paper Planes - Beautiful Small Machines

I can also see this one making it on it's own, but then again it's a cover of an originally catchy, yet awful song. You don't care what it is, though, do you? You see free download and your mouth waters
