[Listen, Download, Watch] Don't Let the Beard Fool Ya - Zach Deputy

[Sounds like: Keller Williams, Keb Mo', Michael Franti & Spearhead]

Most of y’all are familiar with the name Keller Williams (or at least I hope you are); well here’s another name to add to whatever genre you may place Keller: Zach Deputy. Zach Deputy is a guy from Bluffton, SC who has talent that gives Keller a run for his money.

For those of you who are not familiar with the work of either Keller or Zach, they are masters of what a technique that is called “looping.” These guys are able to compose entire songs by playing all the instruments themselves, using a pedal that records a beat or guitar riff, and then repeats or “loops” it (hence the term, “looping”). Below is a pair of tracks from Zach’s recent album, “Another Day,” which was released back in September of last year. His albums are great and have a fun, easy going sound that goes great with summer. However, to get the full effect of what Deputy is all about, you need to see him live (again, very similar to Keller). At shows, Zach brings a lot more funk with his music and fills the place with energy. Click here to see what I am talking about.

Zach is in the middle of a huge summer tour right now filled with big and small venues, including lots of festivals. Check out his tour schedule to see if he’ll be playing in a town near you. You can also keep yourself updated through his facebook and twitter. Enjoy.

  3. There seems to be a hate pattern with each of my posts...I must have upset someone on the way and they decided to take it out on great musical artists....But don't worry Mrs. Maker, I hit the 'love' button for you
