[Listen & A Download] Gary Clark Jr.

[Sounds like: Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King]

I hope ya'll are in the mood for some rock n' roll. I'm coming to the end of my finals week - one more exam between summer and me. In my wake, I've left a blurry trail filled with coffee beans, lack of sleep, and the tiny little shavings left behind when you burn through one pencil eraser after another. Now this one exam - the one that has me twitching - is responsible for this post. How? Well, I started this week calm and collected. I had these finals in the bag. Two back to back one day, a paper and another the next day? On Monday I was confident. On Wednesday night, tonight, the night after everything I've mentioned? I am cursing everything and everyone.

I'm not going to get all down and weird on y'all. Instead, I'm channeling my frustration and hatred towards academia with a new guy who is shaking things up with guitar shreds reminiscent of Stevie Ray. It's good ol' rock n' roll, and just what the damn doctor ordered. If you have exams in the coming days, like I do, and you're almost broken, like I am, then cut the cutesy folk off and plug Gary Clark Jr. into the amp. School is hard; it's more fun to hang out (Mom, I don't actually mean this, I'm still working hard. I promise).
