Covering Your Wednesday: Linkin Park

I never thought I would post a song about Linkin Park, but here I am blown away by the surprising delicacy and beauty poured into their live perfomance of Adele's "Rolling In The Deep" at iTunes London Festival this year. Performed by just the group's lead singer, Chester Bennington, and their producer, Mike Shinoda, the song choice threw off everyone. Straying from their usual heavy hitting metal sound, the two reproduced Adele's hit single with tender care - Bennington's voice over Shinoda's soft touch at the piano. Although there's not much variation from the original, Linkin Park's cover can be placed among some of the best as it harbors the track's emotion so well. Enjoy

Rolling In The Deep - Linkin Park

Linkin Park's performance is perfect to describe iTune's London Festival this year: unpredictable. I feel a little guilty because up until yesterday, I had no idea this music festival was taking place. Luckily it's over the course of 31 nights and showcases 62 artists. Oh, and you can watch every live performance for free on iTunes. Be Sure to check out their website if you're interested in catching shows featuring artists like Adele (July 7), Coldplay (July 22), and Benjamin Francis Leftwich (July 30).
