Best New Talent

So...best new talent of the summer? You've got my vote. Sucka Plush is a mashup artist based out of Chicago, Illinois and that's about all I know about him. I was sent one of his tracks by my friend, Mallery Pindar, and consequently he and Sucka Plush are my two favorite people right now. I've been spending the night listening to this guy's music and trying to find any information I can on him. So far, I've only been successful at enjoying his incredibly refreshing and surprising blending of genres.* As for the background information, here's what I have discovered via his youtube channel: His name is 18? His age: 29. Welp, I'm left confused but still thoroughly entertained thanks to the music he's provided me with. I know for sure, however, that his recent production, "The Last Supper," not only has the best album cover of all time, but features some of the best mashups I have heard in a while. Then I found another mixtape: "Lost Ones." My respect for this guy keeps growing, and here's why: Sucka Plush pays tribute to Tupac and Notorious B.I.G. very frequently. If you're a follower of Beat Dropping, you know about my obsession with the two godfathers of rap.

I'm going to tease you for now, and only supply you with a couple of my favorite tracks. I'm trying to get in contact with him, and when I do, you will reap the benefits (at the least, more tracks). So, Sucka Plush, if you're out there, I'd like to get to know you better. Judging by the album cover above, maybe you'd like to share a couple of good, old, and cold Colt 45's?

This Life (Tupac, Nas, Kool G Rap, and The Who) - Sucka Plush

Hell Yeah (Dead Prez and Yanni) - Sucka Plush

Purple Smoke Signals ft. Nas - Sucka Plush

*Beat Dropping focuses on multiple genres. Coincidence that I love this guy's music? Doubt it.
